Take Khair was founded by sisters Mackenzie & Hailie after noticing a significant lack of quality retail options catering to individuals with curly textured hair. Through personal experience and research, it was apparent how difficult and overwhelming navigating the beauty supply industry can be for customers.
In addition to offering a wide range of in-demand products for a variety of curl patterns and textures, Take Khair is set to become a therapeutic community hub bringing individuals together through inspiration, hair services and interactive classes. We welcome customers to embrace and celebrate their hair while redefining beauty without feeling rushed or undervalued.
Although Take Khair is an inclusive brand, we believe it’s important to place a heavy emphasis on black women - who are often marginalized in society. For many black women, hair is a crucial part of identity and is deeply connected with personal self-expression and culture. Our aim is to empower women who are often excluded from mainstream retail strategies, catering to women who are the backbones of communities.
Take Khair's namesake [take care] derives from the aim to provide an inclusive shopping experience centred on confidence through self-care.
