How to Use + Best For

Apply Innersense I Create Hold to sectioned, thoroughly wet hair, using approximately 1–2 pumps at a time and rubbing the gel between your palms before distributing from roots to ends. Smooth, rake, brush-style or scrunch through the hair, then air-dry or diffuse without disturbing the curls until completely dry. Innersense recommends I Create Hold for curly to coily textures, particularly hair that needs firm hold, stronger definition and longer-lasting style retention. It can work across low, medium and high porosity hair; finer or easily weighed-down curls should begin with less product, while coarse, dense or high-porosity curls may appreciate its stronger structure. Once completely dry, gently scrunch the hair if you prefer a softer finish while keeping the curl definition underneath intact.

Take Khair Tip: I Create Hold is highly concentrated, so white residue or flaking can happen when too much gel is applied, the hair isn’t wet enough, or too many stylers are layered together. Start with 1–2 pumps at a time, emulsify thoroughly between wet palms and apply section by section to hair that is very wet and evenly saturated; if the product starts looking white as you work it through, add more water before adding more gel. Keep your cocktail simple—if extra moisture is needed, apply a light layer of Quiet Calm Curl Control first, then I Create Hold on top while the hair is still wet. Avoid repeatedly layering multiple creams, foams and gels underneath unless you already know the formulas work well together, as too much product can increase visible residue. Once applied, leave the curls undisturbed until completely dry, then gently scrunch out the cast for a softer finish.
