How to Use + Best For

Before heat styling, apply 1–2 pumps of amika Superfruit Star to damp or dry hair, concentrating through the mid-lengths and ends, then style as usual. To smooth frizz and boost shine after styling, apply another small amount to dry hair, focusing primarily on the ends. Superfruit Star is recommended for fine-to-thick hair types 1–3C and is especially useful for hair that needs heat protection, frizz control and shine without the weight or greasiness of a heavier oil. Because it primarily smooths and protects the hair surface, it can work across low, medium and high porosity levels, with fine or easily weighed-down hair using less and thicker or more porous hair adjusting the amount as needed. For curly and textured hair, amika recommends pressing a small amount into completely dry curls to break up a gel cast while adding shine and definition.
